Apparently, there's a new book out about Karp, detailing his journey from a "self-described progressive" to going "full MAGA." I haven't read it, and honestly, I probably won't. I'm sure it's filled with the usual hand-wringing about how someone could "go over to the dark side."

But let's be real, these transformations aren't exactly rare in Silicon Valley. Remember when Mark Zuckerberg was wearing hoodies and talking about "connecting the world"? Now he's shilling the metaverse and cozying up to Trump. It's like they all hit a certain level of wealth and suddenly realize they don't actually care about anything except protecting their bottom line.

Maybe he genuinely thinks Palantir's surveillance tech is making the world a better place. Or maybe he's just a cynical opportunist who realized that embracing the culture war is good for business.

I ain't buying it. This whole "anti-woke" shtick is just another way for tech bros to justify their power and pretend they're on the side of the "real" people. Karp can say whatever he wants, but at the end of the day, he's just another billionaire trying to stay relevant in a world that's rapidly changing.
